St Peter is the patron saint of fisherman, Rome, and Popes.
St. Peter the Apostle was the first Pope. He was martyred in the year 64 AD. At St. Peter’s request he was crucified head-down because he didn’t feel worthy enough to die in the same manner as Jesus.
