St. Matthew Medals

St. Matthew is the Patron Saint of accountants, bankers, bookkeepers and tax collectors.

Matthew is symbolically portrayed as an adult man because his Gospel stresses Christ's human and kindly character.

Before St. Matthew became one of Jesus’ Apostles, he was a tax collector. The symbol of a winged man is also associated with St. Matthew.
