St. Lucy was denounced for being a Christian; it was decided that she would be taken to a brothel and made to work as a prostitute. When guards came to take her away, she was so filled with the Holy Spirit that her body was stiff and heavy as a mountain. They were not able to move her, even with a team of oxen.
