St. Jude Thaddeus Medals

One of the twelve apostles, St. Jude is known as Patron Saint of the impossible. Many people who find themselves in desperate circumstances will ask St. Jude to intercede with God to obtain help with their problem.

St. Jude Thaddeus was a cousin of Jesus and it is said that the two men resembled each other in appearance.

Early Christians, not distinguishing between the name Jude and Judas, did not pray for St. Jude’s help. St. Jude may have become the patron saint of lost causes for this reason.
