St. Gabriel the Archangel is the patron saint of broadcasters, communication, messengers, postal workers, and radio.

St. Gabriel is one of three archangels mentioned in the Bible; the other two are Michael and Raphael.

Gabriel is also mentioned in the Jewish, Islamic, and Bahá'í faiths.
